President Donald Trump returned to Twitter on Thursday evening with a pre-recorded video message to citizens. The President condemned the violence that broke out at the United States Capitol and also acknowledged that a "new administration" would be inaugurated on January 20th, 2021.

During the roughly 2 minute speech, the President said he was outraged by the "Violence, lawlessness, and mayhem" displayed by rioters and protestors at the Capitol.

According to FOX News, the President said that it was time for calm.

"Emotions are high now, but tempers must be cooled and calm restored," the president continued. "We must get on with the business of America. My campaign rigorously pursued every legal avenue to contest the election results. My only goal was to ensure the integrity of the vote."

"My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition," Trump said, acknowledging that "a new administration" would be inaugurated Jan. 20. "This moment now calls for healing and reconciliation."

At Wednesday's rally, the President told supporters that he would "never concede" the election, but in Thursday's video the President seemed to have come as close to a concession as Biden may get.

The video released by President Trump comes after his Twitter account to locked and after numerous calls for the President to be removed from office via the 25th Amendment or impeachment.

The President told supporters, "serving as your President has been the honor of a lifetime. "To my incredible supporters I know you are disappointed, our incredible journey is only just beginning."

There are some who believe President Trump will run again for office in 2024.
