According to Click2Houston, Roland Mehrez Beainy was arrested on May 16 of 2025. An immigration judge granted him bond on June 13 while his case goes through proceedings.
According to the report, Beainy entered the United States from Lebanon in 2019 on a non-immigrant visitor visa. He was supposed to depart the United States by February 12 of 2024. He did not. Instead he opened the fourth location of Trump Burger in Houston on April 19th. Chron.com reports that he was arrested for "immigration fraud on an application". DHS alleges that he applied for legal status through a woman he had allegedly married, but DHS claims that he never lived with the woman. In other words, they are calling the marriage fake.

ICE Calls Beainy an Illegal Alien
In a statement, click2houston reports that ICE looks at Beainy as an illegal alien no matter his political beliefs.
Under the current administration, ICE is committed to restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system by holding all individuals accountable who illegally enter the country or overstay the terms of their admission. This is true regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have.”
Chron.com received an even stronger statement regarding Beainy.
"USCIS revoked the petition after evidence, including admissions from the petitioner's own family, exposed his marriage as a sham designed to game the system," the statement read. "This person has no Green Card, a history of illegal marriages, and an assault charge. DHS is actively pursuing all legal avenues to address this flagrant abuse of our immigration laws."
What is the Future for Trump Burger?
No one knows what the future holds for Trump Burger. A hearing is set for November, but according to Chron.com, Beainy and Trump Burger may face other issues. In June, the chain sued it's Kemah landlord for removing staff and taking over the restaurant, the landlord filed a countersuit accusing Beainy of "unpaid debts". The location has been renamed MAGA Burger.
