Lubbock police and EMS responded to a call Tuesday afternoon after a child was injured during a golf cart accident.

According to Everything Lubbock, two boys, including former Texas Tech tennis coach Tim Siegel's son, were driving a golf cart near 106th street and Salem at an unsafe speed when it rolled onto its side.

Siegel's son Luke suffered head injuries during the crash. The other boy suffered no injuries.

Tim Siegel, who now coaches tennis at Lubbock Cooper High School, asked for prayers on his Twitter account.

Luke Siegel was transported to UMC with life threatening injuries. The other occupant was uninjured.

The LPD Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and is
investigating
