Three people are dead after a mobile home fire in southeast Lubbock County.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire, which broke out overnight. KAMC 28 reports that a man, his mother and his grandmother are believed to have perished in the fire. The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed.

The mobile home was nearly burned to the ground in 5900 block of East Highway 84. Authorities say a passerby reported the blaze. Buffalo Springs Lake, Slaton and Lubbock fire departments reported to the incident.

Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was extinguished earlier today, and that foul play is not believed to be the cause.  The fire also destroyed two vehicles parked by the mobile home.
