The National Debt…What Is Your Share?

According to the national debt clock at www.usdebtclock.org , the nation’s debt is getting close to $16 trillion.  It’s a topic of discussion at the Republican National Convention.  On KFYO, Rep. Randy Neugebauer talked about the significance of the debt:

“If you look at the convention floor, they have the debt clock there.  I think that’s very important.  I have that on my website just to remind people that every day, this debt is going up at an unsustainable rate, and $16 trillion is certainly a mile marker, one that we shouldn’t necessarily  celebrate, but one that should be sobering to us.”

According to the debt clock, the debt per taxpayer is more than $139,000.
