After being absent in 2020, 16th Miracles Christmas Parade is back in Lubbock on Saturday, December 4th.

This year, the parade theme is "World of Snow." Groups and floats in the parade are asked to use as many lights as they can, as there is a minimum of 1,000 lights per vehicle.

Around 40 parade units, including more than 20 floats from area businesses and non-profit groups, will be featured. More than 600 high school band students from all 4 Lubbock ISD high schools will also be marching as one unit, playin Christmas songs down the parade route. This parade is being used as training for the band's trip next year to Washington D.C.

The parade, which starts at 6 p.m., will head down 34th Street starting at Avenue Q and head west towards Indiana Avenue.

Parade Chairman Jason Davis said:

After missing the parade last year, we are seeing a renewed and growing interest in this parade. We are having lots of calls from groups wanting to be in the parade. Last year, the popular lighted parade was not held due to COVID-19 concerns for the public. We are still accepting applications from groups wanting to be in this parade.
