
Texas Teen Murdered by Fellow Student, Left Dying in Twin’s Arms
A high school student in Frisco, Texas was stabbed in the heart during a track meet. His twin brother attempted to stop the bleeding, but the teen did not survive the attack.
Who Was the Teen Killed in Frisco?
The high school student who was fatally stabbed was 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. The other teenager accused of murdering Metcalf allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked him after being told he was sitting in the wrong seat at the track meet.
The teen charged with murder, a 1st degree felony, was 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony from a separate high school.
Austin Metcalf's twin brother, Hunter, was nearby when the attack happened. He rushed to his brother's aid after Austin was stabbed in the heart by Karmelo Anthony. Hunter attempted to stop the bleeding from his twin brother's wound until paramedics could arrive.
First responders arrived to the scene shortly after to administer CPR and blood transfusions, but Austin Metcalf was already deceased.
Response and Support to the Metcalf Family
The Frisco Police Department sent a statement shortly after the tragedy occurred:
The Frisco Police Department grieves with all those affected by this devastating loss and extends its deepest condolences to the victim's family, students, and staff who are experiencing unimaginable pain.
The Metcalf family also set up a GoFundMe page to gain community support during this painful period. As of the time of this reporting, the family already raised over $87,000, easily exceeding their $75,000 goal.
