Texas Tech baseball orchestrated a drubbing of the Dallas Baptist Patriots in Lubbock Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Raiders managed to beat the Patriots 7-1 at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock.

Until facing off against the Red Raiders, Dallas Baptist had won five straight games.

The first five innings of the game were fairly uneventful, as neither team managed to score a run. Dallas Baptist scored one run in the top of the 6th, and Tech managed to score two. Tech scored 4 runs in the 7th, and 1 in the 8th without giving up another run to the Patriots.

Tech’s record is now 19-15 on the season, and Dallas Baptist’s record drops to 21-10.

The Red Raiders will next play a three game series at home against Houston, beginning on Friday, with first pitch at 6:30 p.m.
