A NCAA report places Texas Tech Athletics in good standing on the education of their athletes.

All 17 sports at Tech received passing marks during the NCAA annual Academic Progress Rate report, and 10 of the 17 teams were ranked in the top 5 of the Big 12 Conference.

The 5 sport leaders for Texas Tech included men’s cross country, women’s cross country, women’s tennis, women’s volleyball, and women’s soccer.

Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said “Our mission is to mold our student-athletes into leaders and contributors to society, and their academic success while they are at Texas Tech is a key component to their future.”

Associate Athletics Director for Academics Felicia Martin lauded the findings of the report, saying “We salute the classroom efforts of our student-athletes for their academic success and most importantly their progress toward graduation.”
