
Texas Tech’s Record-Breaking Fundraising Year: Where Is the Money Going?
In a recent press release from Texas Tech University, it was announced that the 2025 fiscal year saw the most amount of money raised in one year in the school's history: over $200 million.
How Much Money Did TTU Make from Donors?
Texas Tech University broke their record with a total of 37,845 donors who contributed a whopping $236 million during the 2025 fiscal year.
This accomplishment was made possible due to the university's launch of the ON&ON Campaign. This outlet offers alumni, faculty, and family of the university to show their support and make donations to the school easier than ever before.
Where Did the Money Go?
These are some of the numbers broken down to where the $236 million was assigned to between September 2024 and August 2025:
- 139 newly established scholarships and student aid funds
- Over $61 million raised for additional scholarships, particularly for student-athletes
- 129 new endowments were created
- Three new endowed academic positions
- Over $43 million raised for community initiatives
ON&ON Campaign is Texas Tech's Secret Weapon
ON&ON Campaign Co-Chair Gordon Davis voiced his pride and support in this historic year for the university:
We have set a goal to become a preeminent university that attracts the brightest, hardest-working students. It's all about the kids. Generosity brings us closer to achieving that goal.
So far, the ON&ON Campaign has raised over $915 million in total since its public launch just one year prior. This incredible amount of support in such a short time is thanks to a combined effort of 84,397 total donors.
