Bustrillo-Vasquiez also has a history of illegal reentry, having been deported from the U.S. first in 2010, and the most recent instance being in 2018 for a total of four times. He was also arrested multiple times in 2013 and 2014 for assault by the Austin Police Department.

Real quick: If you've ever wondered what the actual difference is between a felony and a misdemeanor, Texas law has some surprising facts.

Bustrillo-Vasquiez was selected as the featured fugitive for the month of September. DPS also increased the reward for information leading to his arrest to $6,000.

Reward for Bustrillo-Vasquiez's Capture

Because Bustrillo-Vasquiez was not arrested due to a Crime Stoppers anonymous tip, the $6,000 cash reward for his arrest will not be paid.

In order to be eligible for the reward for anyone on the 10 Most Wanted list in Texas, you must provide information about any of the wanted persons through one of three ways:

  • Submit a tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted Facebook page under the 'About' section
  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
  • Submit a tip through the DPS website
    • Select the fugitive about whom you would share information by clicking the link under their picture
