Texas Agents Seize $400K of Cocaine in Massive Bust
U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently intercepted a shipment of over $399,000 worth of cocaine at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.

On November 4th, a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer sent a 2015 Chevrolet to secondary inspection.
Eagle Pass Port Director Pete Beattie highlighted the importance of officer training in these situations. "Seizures like these exemplify CBP's ongoing effort to uphold its border security mission and keeping our communities safe", Beattie stated.
The driver, a 41-year-old Mexican citizen woman, was ordered to undergo a closer examination of her vehicle using a non-intrusive inspection system.
Through successful utilization of officer training and high-tech tools, officers were able to locate the massive quantity of cocaine within the passenger side of the car.
CBP agents discovered a dozen packages of the addictive drug, totaling a weight of 29.93 lbs. The estimated street value of the seizure sits around $399,740.
The vehicle was seized, along with the narcotics, and the driver was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations special agents to be criminally investigated.
