On the Wednesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Dan Branch, Republican candidate for Texas Attorney General, talked with Chad Hasty about his campaign and some of the big issues affecting Texas.

Branch said that if elected, he will follow the lead of the current Attorney General Greg Abbott and continue to be aggressive and highly active in issues affecting Texas. He added that he has already gotten involved in issues such as voter ID and the traditional marriage act long before he started his campaign.

"On all those issues that I care about, as the attorney general I plan on vigorously defending them and pushing back against an overreaching federal government, whether that's federal judges or whether that's the executive branch, the current administration and Eric Holder. I will be aggressive in defending our conservative ideas. We know they work. History has proven that they work."

Branch said some of the big issues he will be focusing on would be House Bill 2 and pro-life legislation, as well as protecting voter ID and doing away with Obamacare. He also said he would work to protect kids against online predators, saying that the laws need to keep up with ever-changing technologies. As for other privacy issues, Branch said that there's a fine line between public safety and the right to privacy, but he would strive to protect the privacy of Texans.
