Texas Actress Shannon Richardson Arrested in Connection With Ricin-Laced Letters Sent to President Barack Obama, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg

A pregnant Texas actress has been arrested in connection with ricin-laced letters sent to President Barack Obama.

According to the Associated Press, Shannon Richardson was arrested Friday. She had reportedly told FBI agents that her husband had sent the letters to President Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Richardson, a New Boston resident, was arrested around noon, and a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office has declined further comment in the case.

The AP states that FBI agents in hazardous material suits were seen going in and out of Richardson’s house in New Boston, located about 150 miles northeast of Dallas.
