When asked if there has been any movement lately, McBride explained that the house has passed the $17 million budget, and that now the Senate is taking up the budget. Eddie said that it seems like it's moving well through the house, and that we will see a good budget by the end of the session.

Dr. Schovanec had this to say, "This is not about us vs. another school. This is about what's best for an important industry in West Texas, and the state, and also about making sure that students in Texas who want to pursue a career in veterinary medicine have a better chance of doing that without going out of state and incurring greater debt."

Schovanec explained that Tech currently does not make any money from the Lime scooters, but that once they start having the shared bikes on campus, that Tech will receive 20% of those profits.

Schovanec explained that email is a very poor way to get an emergency notice out, and encourages the community to provide their information so that Tech can send a text rather than slow email.

Plans to open a veterinary school in Amarillo are on hold by Texas Tech University.
