Whether they are unethical, problematic, or downright dangerous, there are a variety of foods that are forbidden in Texas.

Sure, we have Einstein's and you can get bagels at the grocery store or a couple bakeries in town, but there is something so special about a local bagel shop, and Lubbock is missing out.

If you are from the south, then you know nothing beats a classic sweet tea, but sometimes you want to mix it up a bit and try something new.

Sonic is currently selling their Blackout Slush Float which is a dark cotton candy and dragon fruit flavored slush, soft serve vanilla ice cream, and sprinkles. It only comes in a size medium, and you get a pair of Sonic eclipse glasses with your purchase.

Thankfully, Lubbock has a variety of great options for snow cones and shaved ice. From bigger businesses with multiple locations, to small hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shops, there is something for any and every taste.

The restaurant is Bombshells, and Lubbock is actually getting a location very soon. They are building off of Milwaukee and Spur 327, and while it may seem a long ways away, they are expecting to be up and running by the fall of 2024. That is only roughly six months away.

I mean, this sounds like something one would do on accident. Well, it more certainly sounds like something I would do. I can't tell you how many times I've absent-mindedly put something in the refrigerator that didn't necessarily belong there.

Spring is officially here as of March 19th, so it is time to spark up the grill gather your friends and family, and enjoy being outside before the weather gets too hot.
