"The rate is only accelerating. People in central cities may see 20-25% increase in their appraisal, but even if you kept the same rate then property taxes would still be skyrocketing. So it could be a solution or a part of a solution, but no one is going to see their property taxes go down," Kronberg said.
"We feel comfortable, and there is certainly a supply forecast and a demand forecast, but we feel comfortable that by the time we join ERCOT in mid 2021, that we'll be in good shape," the mayor said.
"I think when it's all said and done, the citizens tower project will be something that we'll look back and say it was a good investment. My job is the execute on that. I wasn't there when that decision was made. Our job is to bring it in on time and on budget and that's what we're going to do," Pope said.
