A story from KCBD Newschannel 11 indicates that several fire departments from the area responded to a fire involving multiple structures on Sunday Evening which has displaced two families.

According to the story, the fire developed around 5:45 p.m. near East Loop 289 and East 4th Street, northeast of Lubbock.

Units from Idalou, New Deal, Woodrow, Roosevelt, Buffalo Springs and Ransom Canyon fire departments all responded to the call and worked until late in the night to put out the blaze.

Two families were displaced because of the incident and are now receiving help from Red Cross. No injuries were reported, but the case is still under investigation.
