"What we're finding is the new method has a lot of unintended consequences and we're hurting some people that we never intended to hurt, including churches, large businesses and the poorest of the poor," Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson told Tom and Laura on Friday (March 13) regarding the increasing stormwater rates.

Robertson noted that the city has been billing people for stormwater fees since 1992. That department is $140 million in debt for all the money that has been spent on the stormwater mitigation and that has to be paid.

The Lubbock City Council also met last night for the final vote on gas and oil policies.
