Bon Apetit! State Fair of Texas Announces Delicious New Food Items

Did I grab your attention? Good, because that's just one of the new food options that the State Fair of Texas will be rolling out this year.

The full list of new menu items can be seen further down, but according to a recent announcement by the State Fair of Texas, they're kicking it into third gear, no holds barred this year.

Before I show you the full list, here are some of my favorites from bigtex.com that had me second-guessing reality as I knew it... no, really.

1. Caramel Macchiato Fritters

Like, how often do you have a syringe with your meal and NOT get weird looks at the restaurant? Not to mention the fact that these "creamy coffee cake balls" have a whipped cream and chocolate drizzle garnish.

By the way, the syringe is filled with espresso that you can use to juice up the snack to make it even better.

2. Lay's Potato Chip Drink

...You heard me right; it's a potato chip drink. Hey, I'm nothing if not daring. This controversial beverage boasts a signature citrus blend that includes a kick of hot honey and jalapeno-infused syrup. Oh, and don't forget about the potato chip topper.

3. The Joe

The sloppy joe grew out of his messy phase and cleaned up his act with this one. This is what I like to call an upgraded breakfast sandwich replete with fried jalapeno slices. A true breakfast of champions.
