Back when I was a student at Tech, I knew more than a few people who practically lived at Starbucks. With wi-fi access and as much coffee as you can afford, it was the hot spot for most students.  Now, Starbucks is giving people even more reason to stick around.

Starbucks announced Monday that it would expand its menu to include wine and beer. The popular coffee chain started selling alcoholic beverages at their Seattle stores. Now, they plan to expand sales into California, Georgia and Illinois. The alcoholic beverages would only be available during the afternoon hours, and Starbucks hopes it will attract more of an evening crowd to their stores.

So far, there's no word yet on whether or not Starbucks plans to sell beer and wine in their Texas stores. But according to reports, the new additions to the menu have been "popular with customers," so there's a good chance we could start seeing beer and wine pop up in our Starbucks. And it'll probably give the college students even more reason to spend all their time there.
