Some Tech Buildings Still in the Dark After Wednesday Power Outage

A transformer at the Rawls College of Buisness at Texas Tech university failed this morning, leaving much of the campus without power. Buildings with power as of 5:00 are:

• Ag Science
• Goddard Plant & Soil
• Fisheries Science
• Foodtech
• Southwest Collections
• Chemistry
• Ag Ed & Comm
• Business Administration with partial power

At five o’clock today, Housing Services, Art 3D, Physical Plant Cabinet and Paint shop were all offline for repairs.  LP&L is working to solve the problem, which has frustrated students and teachers alike. Classes start tomorrow and there are many people trying to make last minute preparations. Elevators in the building are also disabled.
