Spring time in Texas means there is sometimes a good chance of rain and thunder for at least some portion of the state. Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning there is a risk of isolated storms for North Texas, Texoma, and other nearby areas of Texas.

However, a larger threat seems to be developing Wednesday and extending into Thursday morning.

Severe Weather Through Thursday for Parts of Texas

According to the latest weather map issued by the Texas Storm Chasers, areas of North Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Texoma, and the Big Country, could see several severe storm late Wednesday into Thursday morning. Meanwhile, isolated to scattered severe storms could be seen from Midland to east of Childress and into the Hill Country. Traveling east on I-20 from Midland to Tyler means your trip could be impacted by severe weather.

Hail and Tornado Chances for Texas on Wednesday

The good news as of right now is that the tornado risk is low. It could happen though and that's something you will want to pay attention to. The main severe threat is going to be high winds and large, possibly baseball size hail.

As always during the spring in Texas, pay attention to local forecasters and warnings. It's also important to have a plan in case severe weather strikes.
