Main Danger In Cruz-O'rourke Race Is Complacent Texas Voters

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R) joined the broadcast to talk about his race against democrat challenger Beto O'Rourke in Texas.

Cruz and Hasty discussed the highly touted polls in the race which are reporting O'Rourke as being very tightly matched with Cruz, O'Rourke's active fundraising and donations from out of state liberals, why Cruz believes he better represents Texan's values, the dangers in the election, and the possibility of actual debates taking place between the two candidates.

When asked by Hasty why the race is polling so closely, Cruz replied,

This is an unusual time in politics. As a country, we're deeply polarized. The election of Donald Trump was a major turning point in the history of our country. The reaction of the left, to Trump's election, is enormous anger and energy. The hard left is unified by fury and rage and for many, hatred towards President Trump. And that is resulting in tens of millions of dollars flooding into the state of Texas.

While speaking of the policies that O'Rourke supports which include higher taxes and regulation, completely socializing health care, amnesty for illegal immigrants and abolishing ICE, the impeachment of President Trump, and more, Cruz said,

They're radically out of touch with the people of Texas...Beto O'Rourke is the only democratic senate nominee in the country to explicitly come out for impeaching Donald Trump. He would vote 'yes' today to impeach President Trump. That doesn't reflect where the people of Texas are. Texas doesn't want to see Washington turned into political chaos and destruction, and just a partisan war zone for the next two years. but that's where Beto O'Rourke and the national liberal donors that are behind him, that's where they want to take this.

Cruz and Hasty also discussed the confirmation process of Brett Kavanaugh for the United States Supreme Court, as well as what conservative and grassroots voters in Texas can do to support Cruz's reelection efforts.
