Friday on The Chad Hasty Show U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) joined the program to discuss the latest news and politics from Washington, D.C.

Cornyn and Hasty talked abut the escalating feud between President Trump and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and the droning from the left calling for the impeachment of President Trump on the basis that he has obstructed justice in the matter of the Mueller investigation and report.

Cornyn also addressed Representative Justin Amash (R-MI) who made headlines this week stating that he believes President Trump has obstructed justice and should be impeached. When Hasty asked Cornyn if he has seen anything verifying that claim, Cornyn responded by saying,

I have not. I would tell you that Mr. Amash, he got exactly what he wanted, which is a whole lot of attention. He's not a guy that has a following. Matter of fact he's kind of a lone wolf in almost everything he does. I really don't take that seriously.

Also discussed were what can and is being done to stop "robo calls", and Cornyn clarified his own stance on climate change.
