Senator Charles Perry Talks Sanctuary City Legislation [VIDEO]

Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, District 28 Senator Charles Perry joined Chad to talk about current events and issues before the Texas Senate.

Senator Perry and Hasty talked about many issues, including bills currently on the floor of the Senate, housing and vouchers and sanctuary cities.

Talking specifically about SB185, the Sanctuary City Bill, Perry said: "It's a rule of law bill. You know, society loses a lot of faith in its laws and those that administrate them when they are applied unequally, or not across the board to everyone equally."

Perry defend the bill, noting instances where US citizens had been killed by illegal immigrants.

"It gives the authority, on a local level, to ask the immigration status [of an alleged perpetrator] if in a process of a stop or a currently in a commission of a crime," Perry said.
