Senator Charles Perry Discusses Property Tax Reform, School Vouchers, And Much More [INTERVIEW]

Texas District 28 Senator Charles Perry (R) joined The Chad Hasty Show on Monday to share a wrap up of the 85th Texas Legislature and his forecast for the special session which begins July 18, 2017.

Perry and Hasty discussed school vouchers, the 'bathroom bill', water issues, Senate Bill 2 which involves regulating property tax increases, Texas Tech's veterinary school, as well as Child Protective Services (CPS) reform, and more.

While discussing the issues surrounding SB-2, Perry said,

People in Lubbock want tax reform, I can promise you that.

On the importance of starting the veterinary school at TTU, Perry said, "We need a large animal vet school to produce the volume of vets that we need to keep our dairy and our cattle industry [healthy]."
