Scot Mayfield Committed To No Tax Increases [INTERVIEW]

Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Scot Mayfield joined the show in the KFYO studio to talk about his campaign for election to Lubbock Independent School District Board of Trustees in the District 5 position.

Mayfield and Hasty discussed many issues, including taxes & future bond packages, the quality of education in Lubbock, the age and maintenance of LISD buildings, and student testing.

While talking about what he views as priorities for the LISD board, Mayfield said: "I'm committed to not raising taxes. I may lose that vote, but I'm going to do my best to - I will not vote to raise taxes."

Mayfield continued: "I'm going to do my best to convince other school board members not to raise taxes as well."
