It's one of Lubbock's most loved traditions during the Christmas season and another sign that Christmas isn't far away. It's almost time for Santa Land to open in Lubbock. The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department has worked hard to on this great event for the entire family.

Santa Land, inside Mackenzie Park will open to the public on Saturday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m. This will be the 66th Anniversary of Santa Land in Lubbock and is a staple of Lubbock's holiday celebrations. Each year, over 50,000 people from Lubbock and the surrounding areas head out to Santa Land to celebrate.

Santa Land will be open December 10 through December 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. As it has always been, Santa Land is free to attend. Those who go to Santa Land will enjoy animated displays, bonfires, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, along with live entertainment, and concessions. And of course, we can't forget about the giant Christmas tree! You will even have a chance to purchase the 66th Annual Santa Land souvenir mug.

If you haven't been to Santa Land in a while, you should check it out. They have some great new displays and decorations for everyone to enjoy and they seem to be getting larger as well and taking up more of a footprint inside Mackenzie Park.

Santa Land is located in Mackenzie Park at 600 Cesar E. Chavez Drive. Below is a map provided by the City of Lubbock.
