
Salvation Army in Lubbock Receives Large Grant for Homeless Program
The Lubbock Branch of the Salvation Army was presented with a large check today. The grant of over $845, 000 will be used to cover the costs of the Red Shield Home Transitional Living Program, which helps eradicate repetitive homelessness in the area. The program helps homeless individuals and families find work, child care, and transportation and helps develop job skills, literacy, and life skills. The program begins this fall.
