As a Red Raider, Ryan Shetter made 55 appearances with 24 starts. Shetter will finish his career with a 3.46 ERA and a .233 opponents batting average. The Junior righty was used in many roles settling into each one with ease.

Shetter's numbers improved every year and his Junior season provided career bests in nearly every category including a shiny 2.97 ERA, a career high six wins and 79 strikeouts. He finished the season as part of a two-handed combo as one half of the formidable 'DuShetter' combo with lefty Dylan Dusek.

In a career full of highlights a few games spring to mind, including a one hit, nine strikeout, shutout performance against New Mexico State this season. The next highlight would have to be the 4.1 inning performance against Florida in the College World Series where he struck out seven Gators while cruising through the lineup.

In Shetter's Sophomore campaign eyes really started to open when he threw five complete innings with three strikeouts against number two LSU in the Shriner Classic.

Ryan Shetter and his devastating breaking ball will be missed at Texas Tech but he's on to bigger and better things in the MLB after being drafted in the 9th round by the Atlanta Braves. Shetter made it official with a statement on twitter.com.
