Representative Dustin Burrows Talks High Cost of Pharmacuticals [INTERVIEW]

Monday Chad Hasty was joined in the KFYO studio by District 83 Representative Dustin Burrows to talk about the 84th Texas Legislature and his first term as a Texas congressman.

Burrows and Hasty reviewed the legislative session, what Burrows was happy with, and what his disappointments were. Burrows spoke about what it was like being a freshman in the House, and the large learning curve anyone has to gain experience in how to deal with the different aspects of being an active part of Texas government.

Among the topics discussed were the budget and higher funding for transportation and education, agriculture, as well as Burrows' efforts at reducing the cost of pharmaceuticals.

Burrows talked about how much more the cost of health care and pharmaceuticals have recently increased comparing to other costs of living. "It's an unsustainable path that we're on", said Burrows.
