Tuesday on the P.M. edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas House District 106 Representative Jared Patterson joined the broadcast to discuss the press coverage of House Bill 6, the heated debate over "constitutional carry" in the state, and more.

While talking about vote integrity reform, Patterson said,

There could not be a more common sense measure than House Bill 6 in the Texas House. The voter integrity bill that does things like make sure that dead people aren't on the voter roles. It does things like make sure that these folks in some of these counties like Harris county actually abide by the law. Making sure that we don't have voter harvesting of mail-in ballots where an overwhelming majority of fraud actually does happen in the state of Texas. And the reason that I've been so vocal is because you've got trash outlets like the Texas Tribune...that are mouthpieces for far-left liberal institutions like some of the big universities and big major corporations that are very far left, way far left, further than most Texans. And you've got them as a mouthpiece, dogging Republicans, calling us 'racist' for wanting to enforce the laws, and having free and fair elections. All we're trying to do is make sure that it is easy to vote, but hard to cheat. That's the whole point of House Bill 6.
