Relay for Life of Texas Tech to Host Paint the Campus Purple Week [Audio]

Monday on Lubbock's First News, Olivia Utley, PR Chair for the event, gave details on the Relay for Life's Paint the Campus Purple week.

Relay for Life works with the American Cancer Society and the Hope Lodge to raise money for the cause. The week will kick off with a 5K that will route through the Texas Tech campus on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. Pre-registration for the 5K is $25, then $35 starting tomorrow. This will get you a free tank top and entry to the race. Utley said, "We're going to have glow-in-the-dark tanks and glow-in-the-dark glasses." The featured event of the week will take place April 12. This will bring out student organizations and others in the community to share stories, listen to live music, and enjoy a Ms. Relay pageant.
