Red Raider Tennis Player Gonzalo Escobar Earns Highest Rank in Big 12

Four Texas Tech men’s tennis players have earned preseason rankings.

Gonzalo Escobar begins the 2011-2012 collegiate tennis season as the highest ranked tennis student-athlete in the Big 12 Conference.

Also ranked are doubles players Vitor Manzini, Rafael Garcia and Gabriel Wanderley. Escobar has been ranked 11^th in singles, and is the highest ranked singles and doubles player in the conference.

Teamed with Manzini, Escobar has been ranked 10^th in doubles.

The 2012 tennis season kicks off this weekend at the Racquet Club Collegiate in Midland.
