Kids these days, am I right? It turns out that Texas teens are causing a ruckus in Galveston beaches by their unruly behavior and often-violent tendencies.

You see, it all comes from a recent post from the Galveston Police Department urging drivers to travel with extreme caution and expect heavy traffic buildup from what they call an "unsanctioned" senior skip day. Take a look:

Spring Break Goes Crazy in Texas

Spring break has been a high school tradition for generations. It serves as the informal cap to end the school year. An excuse for students all over the world to ditch the textbooks and catch some sun and good vibes with others.

Unfortunately, this tradition is often marred by those who think violence, overdrinking, and vandalism deserve to be explored as well.

This was the case in Galveston where law enforcement responded to reports of shots fired at 13 Mile Road Beach, according to Galveston PD.

By the time they made the announcement, one person was arrested along with at least one confiscated firearm. This ended up ruining the fun for all visitors as the beach was immediately closed for an investigation to be opened.

In a post just one hour later, Galveston PD stated that they continue to deal with large crowds of "young people" that make the area unsafe at that time.

By the time the beaches were reopened, a total of six people were arrested. The leading factor that led to the chaos was that this senior skip day event did not have an organizer; there were just young people all over with no direction.
