Lubbock Police are continuing their investigation of a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon (June 5).

The drive-by shooting occurred on 37th Street near Avenue U. The suspects in the getaway vehicle traveled west on 37th Street as they fled the scene. A 16 year-old girl was shot in the incident and an ambulance was flagged down near 34th Street and Avenue W to take the victim to the hospital.

A suspect’s vehicle was located last night in the 1700 block of Parkway Drive, but so far, no arrests have been made.

Lubbock Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

An ambulance was flagged down in the area of 34th Street and Avenue W for a female victim with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Initial reports say the shooting occurred on 37th Street and Avenue U. According to Everything Lubbock, police found numerous spent shell casings in the area the shooting took place.

So far, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
