Update: Police have released more information on an alleged Thursday night (June 13th) shooting.

According to Lubbock Police Department, officers were first called to the McDonald's at 6001 19th Street for a report of an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound.

The unnamed victim was reportedly shot in the leg and taken to University Medical Center for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told police that he was meeting two men in the parking lot of the District West Apartments, located at 2102 West Loop 289, at around 11:45 p.m. He said the two suspects got inside his car and attacked him, firing multiple shots before fleeing the scene.

The teenager then drove to the McDonald's and called for help. Police say they're still investigating the shooting and have not yet named any suspects in the case.


Original Story: Police are searching for a suspect or suspects alleged to be involved in an overnight shooting in West Lubbock.

At around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, multiple officers responded to the District West Apartments, where the shots were reported.

The shooting victim reportedly suffered moderate, non-life threatening injuries and drove to the McDonald’s on 19th and Iola to wait for EMS.

Photos from KAMC News appear to show two bullet holes in the driver-side car door. Investigators are still trying to determine what happened. No suspects have been named or arrested.
