The Plainview ISD Police has recently asked the public for assistance in locating a suspect they believe is responsible for breaking into a high school and stealing multiple items.

One suspect has been caught, and Plainview police believe this might be the one.

Plainview Breaking and Entering Suspect

An unidentified burglar first broke into Plainview Collegiate High School on the week of October 13 then again on October 24. It's unclear exactly which items were stolen, but among the list was multiple Nintendo Switches.

The burglar was captured on video surveillance, but their face was hidden. In an effort to gather more information, Plainview ISD officials even offered a $1,000 reward for any Crime Stopper tips that could lead to an arrest.

Classes continued on the 24th as normal, since officers determined there was no active threat of bodily injury to students.

Plainview Suspect Spotted

When police entered the school on October 24 after the thief's second burglary attempt, they saw the suspect holding a bag of stolen goods. Once the individual spotted the police, they dropped the bag and fled.

According to KCBD, one suspect is in custody following the event who was spotted just minutes after being seen by police on a surveillance video on a nearby block.
