Patrick Svitek With Texas School Choice Update And How Ted Cruz Is Getting Involved [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune joined the show to discuss all the latest news and politics from the Texas Capitol and in the nation.

Svitek talked about progress on issues and the deadline for filing bills in the 85th Texas Legislature, the school choice and bathroom debates, and provided an update on the Ken Paxton trial.

Svitek also brought up the U.S. Senator Ted Cruz who recently sent a letter to Reuplican members of the legislature, in support of school choice and education savings accounts.

Svitek said,

It's very unusual for him to get involved in specific legislative battles at the [Texas] capitol...it's obviously something he cares about.
