One Person Shot Tuesday Evening at a Lubbock Apartment Complex
Lubbock Police on Tuesday evening (April 25) released details about a shooting at an apartment complex located near South Loop 289.
The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. at The Enclave at Woodland Park apartments, near the intersection of 71st Street and Utica Avenue, police said via press release.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in serious condition.
Police did make one arrest: 18-year-old Madison Oglesby, who was arrested on multiple charges. Oglesby has been charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. She was taken into custody at a residence located in the 2000 block of 35th Street.
Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt confirmed that the investigation into the shooting continues, with the Person Crimes Unit questioning witnesses and other individuals who may have information concerning the shooting.
No other arrests have been made as of 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
