
One Person Killed in Severe 2-Vehicle Accident in Lubbock

Lubbock first responders were called to a deadly 2-vehicle accident on Sunday, May 24. The accident occurred on University Avenue just south of 82nd Street near Chick-Fil-A.
According to a crash report, a Toyota Camry was traveling south on University when it tried to turn left onto 87th Street. That’s when a Chevy Camaro, driving north on University, crashed into the side of the Camry and both cars ended up on the sidewalk.
The driver of the Camry, 84-year-old June Linker, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Camaro, 20-year-old Ehvan Reyna, only suffered moderate injuries. What caused the accident is still under investigation.
