One Person Killed in Five-Vehicle Accident at 19th Street and Avenue Q

Midday traffic was snarled just south of Downtown Lubbock on Thursday after a five vehicle accident.

KAMC News reports the accident occurred just before noon at 19th Street and Avenue Q. In the immediate aftermath of the accident, it was determined that one person was killed and others potentially injured.

The accident may have been related to a high-speed chase with police that started near 19th Street and Indiana Avenue.

Identities of those involved in the accident have not been released.
