One Person Killed During Central Lubbock Robbery

The Lubbock Police Department announced that 65 year old Martin Martinez was the victim who was found shot and died at the scene. According to a press release Friday morning, Lubbock Police are still investigating.
At this time, it appears that Martinez was involved in an altercation and was shot.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no believed threat to the public.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Lubbock Police and Metro Investigators are on the scene in central Lubbock following a robbery and reports of one person killed. The incident occurred in the area of 13th Street and Avenue T. Lubbock Police received a call about a robbery at about 3:43pm according to a press release.
