One Home Destroyed and Others Threatened After Fire in Northwest Lubbock
One home was destroyed Friday afternoon after a fire started near North Frankford Avenue and FM 2641.
The fire started just before 12:30 p.m. inside a house located at 5023 N CR 1770, and it may have been an electrical fire.
Various fire departments responded to assist, New Deal, Carlisle, Shallowater, and Woodrow. Texas DPS and Lubbock Police Department deputies also responded to assist with traffic and evacuation.
One home was completely destroyed, and another had serious damage. No injuries were reported.
KAMC News reports as of 2:15 p.m., the fire was 50 percent contained, and about three acres have been burned.
