On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Tonja Hagy, coordinator for the First Friday Art Trail, talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about what to expect on the art trail this month.

The First Friday Art Trail has been going on for almost 8 years now. When it first started, only 3 galleries were participating. Now, around 18 galleries participate on the trail on a regular basis, featuring artists from Lubbock and all over the local area. Hagy said the trail has anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 visitors every month, and around 75-100 artists participating.

This month's First Friday Art Trail is October 5th in the Depot District, starting at 6 PM. This month's galleries include the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, GlassyAlley Art Studio and Gallery, and Tornado Gallery.
