I frequently see new products on the market that I "invented" years ago. For instance, The Snuggie. I came up with wearing robes backwards way before it was cool. But this new winter clothing item really has me kicking myself for not patenting it sooner.

They call it the E-Tip Glove. This glove by North Face solves the annoying problem of dealing with a phone, laptop, or MP3 player in cold conditions. The fingertips of the gloves are equipped with a material that enables you to use touch-recognizing devices without removing the gloves. It’s about time someone invented this glove so I can stop using my nose to navigate through my music library on the walk out to my car.

The material on the fingertips is called X-Static, and evidently has pure silver bonded to the fibers, which makes the thread conductive, helping manage temperature and moisture. The gloves are also equipped with a silicone grip on the palm to keep your slick i-phone from shooting out of your hands. However, reviews say the fabric of the actual glove is relatively thin, so don't expect to use this in Arctic temperatures.

So how much is a pair of these gloves? Forty bucks, if you can even find them. North Face’s website is almost completely sold out except for sizes small and extra-large in the color “Arctic White.” However, with more cold weather in the forecast for next week, it may be worth the effort to track a pair down.
