New information has been released concerning the arrest of a man after a standoff with the Lubbock Police SWAT team last week.

On last Wednesday, March 20, 22 year-old Shae West Partain allegedly fired a shotgun out of a window of a home in the 2300 block of 33rd Street. That prompted police to be called to the scene around 1:30pm.

During the initial confrontation with officers, Partain allegedly threw a knife at officers, and threatened to kill them. After an over three hour long standoff, Partain tried to escape by climbing through the attic, but he fell out of ceiling, right into the custody of the SWAT team.

Partain was charged with numerous offenses, including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Retaliation, Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Assault of a Public Servant, Discharging a Firearm in Metropolitan Area, Assault and a Parole Violation. He is still in custody at the Lubbock County Jail on bonds totaling more than $110,000.
