These Are The Heartbreaking Faces of 38 Texas Children Reported Missing 1958-1989
There are 38 children in Texas who were reported missing between the years 1958 through 1989 and never seen again. From Houston, Texas to Fort Worth, Texas and beyond, it is our responsibility to do our part in locating them.
It takes a village to raise a child, even the ones who have not been seen for over three decades. Some of these missing children drew extensive coverage at the time of their disappearance, like the Fort Worth Three.
The Fort Worth Three
Mary Rachel Trlica, Lisa Renee Wilson and Julie Ann Moseley went missing while Christmas shopping at the Seminary South Shopping Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 23, 1974. The car they drove was located on the third level of the parking garage. Gifts were found in th backseat of the car, meaning the girls had made it inside the mall to shop and come back.
Clues have been scant and the case has been open and closed many times through the years with no answers.
Michael & Pamela Mayfield
Other cases may not have gotten as much media attention, but are nonetheless just as mystifying. Like the two missing siblings from Houston, Michael and Pamela Mayfield.
The brother and sister were last seen on January 10, 1985 while walking home from the elementary school. Police looked into the backgrounds of all family members and nothing stood out. The children are believed to have had contact with their abductor before since they knew not to get into a car with strangers.
Remember, people don't just vanish. These 38 children are somewhere out there, waiting to be brought home to the ones who love them most.
