Mike Morton of the Salvation Army Talks Red Kettles on Lubbock’s First News [AUDIO]
On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Mike Morton of the Salvation Army joined Chad and Rex to discuss the Salvation Army's upcoming holiday events.
Morton said that the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign is the single-largest non-profit fundraiser in the U.S. Morton said he enjoys this campaign because it gives people a chance to give back. This year will also be the first year people can use credit cards to make donations to the Salvation Army.
Morton also talked about the Angel Tree, in which you can purchase a gift for a child. The Salvation Army will also be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow from 4 to 6 and Salvation Army Emergency Shelter located at 17th and Avenue J.
